Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP):

Dedicated to low-income seniors (55 and older), in Blackford, Jay, Grant, Madison, and Delaware countieswho are looking to get back into the labor force. This program allows seniors to earn an hourly wage, learn new skills geared toward their career goals, and serve their community all at the same time. To be eligible to participate in the SCSEP, an individual must be:

  • no less than 55 years of age
  • low-income, with family or individual income not to exceed 125 percent of the federal poverty guidelines
  • a resident of the state of application
  • eligible to work in the United States

The Senior Community Service Employment Program is funded under Title V of the Older Americans Act, through the National Council on the Aging.
