Requires the ability to speak English and Spanish, and interpret and write Spanish.  Responsible for translating English/Spanish for staff and Head Start children.  Help children understand and increase language abilities in Spanish and English.  Accompany Family Support Specialist and Teachers to home visits, parent meetings, parent/staff conferences, etc. to help interpret for the families/children.  Interact with the children during class time and help interpret for children as well as staff.  Assist Teachers and Family Support Specialist maintain necessary reports and files on families and children.  Assist the teacher in labeling classroom items.  Based in Portland, $10.72/hr, 10-16 hrs/wk., seasonal summer lay-off.
