Community and Family Services has a new job opening for the management of our Head Start Program.

Head Start Director – Requires Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Human Services or Business.  Also requires five years’ experience in pre-school management, education, human services, with three of those years in supervisory/management/administrative capacity including financial management/budget preparation.  Responsible for the overall operations of our Head Start Program within policy of agency and funding source; completion of annual budget; Policy council operations; and staff management.  Other responsibilities include authorizing final approval for enrollment; Organization of Policy Council (parent group); assure compliance with Performance Standards; provide Governance Training to Executive Board, as well as many other responsibilities.  Full-time, exempt, based in Portland.
